The College “Lorenzo Valla” is one of the ten Colleges managed by EDiSU (a special agency of the University of Pavia that is in charge of all the activities for the so called “right of study”). It is titled to prof. Lorenzo Valla, humanist, philologist and writer, who taught Rhetoric at the University of Pavia from 1429 to 1431.

The buildings were realised between 1936 and 1953 and it is located in the sud-west part of the town, next to historical city centre. The College can be easily reached from the railway station.
The College has 14 male single rooms and 12 male double room with 9 common bathrooms. It has also 14 female single rooms and 15 female double room with 12 common bathrooms. In particular the first and the fourth floors are male, while the second and the third is female.

The College offers 3 rooms (single and 2 double) for visiting professor e academic staff; these rooms can be reserved writing to the Administrative Office (economato_valla@edisu.pv.it) or to the Presidency of EDiSU (presidenza@edisu.pv.it).

It hosts students attending different degree courses, Ph. D. students, postgraduate students coming from different Countries, not only Italy, live together sharing their experiences and culture. Students of the University of Pavia can require accommodation in the college through an application published in the institutional website of EDiSU (www.edisu.pv.it). Erasmus Students can have more information at the CAS Office (http://www.centroassistenzastudenti.it).

The College manages cultural events (open to the town) and supervision activities to support the academic studies. The College is a place where the students help each other to improve as Men and Women, pushing themselves to success in the study and in the social life. The Valla’s Teams take part in the InterCollege Competition, managed every year from the CUS.
